The Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations will hold its 2026 substantive session on 18, 19 February and 13 March. Other matters Adoption of the Committee's report to the General Assembly at its eightieth session The Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations , also known as the C34 , is a subsidiary body of the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly . A unique, multilateral body consisting of 157 Member States , the C34 brings together a wide range of peacekeeping stakeholders, including the Permanent Members of the Security Council , troop- and police-contributing countries, leading financial contributors to the Peacekeeping Budget, several host states and others. The C34 is mandated to carry out a comprehensive review of all issues relating to peacekeeping operations. High-Level Meeting on Haiti.

On the sidelines of 80th Session of United Nations General Assembly, an in-person discussion to highlight Kenya's perspectives on the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission to Haiti including its experience and lessons learned in the past year and urge global support for the transition of MSS Mission to the Gang Suppression Force (GSF) and establishment of a UN Support Office in Haiti. Purpose of Meeting: Highlight Kenya's perspectives on the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) in Haiti, including the country's experiences, lessons learned, and insights for enhancing future security support for Haiti. Urge adoption of the resolution to transition the MSS Mission to the Gang Suppression Force (GSF) and establish a UN Support Office in Haiti. The Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations will hold its 2025 substantive session from February 17 - March 14. The Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations was established by General Assembly resolution 2006 (XIX) of 18 February 1965 to conduct a comprehensive review of all issues relating to peacekeeping. It reports to the General Assembly on its work through the Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization) and is comprised of 155 Member States, mostly past or current contributors to peacekeeping operations.
